Production: the raw materials (silica sand, calcium, oxide,soda and magnesium) are properly weighted and mixed and thenintroduced into a furnace where they are melted at 1500°C

When it leaves the bath of molten tin the glass has cooled downsufficiently to pass to an annealing chamber called a Lehr

While floating through the molten tin, the glass under theworks of gravity and surface tension becomes smooth and flat atboth sides
Float clear glass is transparent and offers a high visiblelight transmittance
Clear float is sold as cut-to-size or bulk form
Clear float is also available in laminated, tempered andinsulated form
